SFGsevenweeks.JPG |

Here is the garden at seven weeks. The yellow flowers in the upper left are cucumbers, and small tomatillos are just forming above the parsley. Tomato blossoms are visible, as are a few sickly pepper flowers. (Peppers like more heat than they get in this shaded spot). The variation in size for the lettuce in the lower left is almost entirely related to light, as all were planted at the same time. Something similar could be achieved with successive plantings a week or two apart. Four peas in the lower right are going up and a pepper three over and one down (beneath a tomato) is sick enough to remove and replace with something else. I have replaced the informational pamphlet box for a sturdier version, and five folks stopped to pick up flyers on July 4.
