Among the information that is particularly useful to have is

  1. Computer model, network and OS.
  2. What it is you'd like your system to do.
  3. Programs and versions being used.
  4. Amount of memory (RAM) from Apple menu "About This Mac" box.
  5. Exact wording of error messages, if any.
  6. Other details on network, peripherals or recent system changes.
  7. Other things or desired outcomes I should know.
